Down Home Music is an exhibit of original 45rpm vinyl recordings of music in South Louisiana from the 1950s through the 1990s, along with the actual studio equipment used to produce many of these recordings.

Incredibly diverse in music genres, this collection includes gospel, soul, R&B, swamp pop, country, funk, rockabilly, and many examples that cross multiple domains that demonstrate Louisiana's rich musical heritage.

Curated by Allen Kirkland over several years, this unique cultural and historic exhibit is currently on temporary display at the Iberville Parish Museum in Plaquemine, Louisiana through May of 2023.
